February’s listening has settled into the heart of winter. With a blizzard having just moved up the East coast, this month’s playlist is inspired by instrumental folk from Nordic countries and Canada — music shaped by snowy landscapes, Northern nights, and the pull toward cozy warmth indoors.
We’ve been playing these pieces in the studio and at home. Like scent, music has a way of setting the atmosphere — accompaniment to the winter rituals that carry us through the season.
